Not long ago, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and live a life where I see my happiness and feel comfortable out of my comfort zone! In addition, while living this life, I came across many learning curves that put me up and down, but more often I am blessed that I always succeed in having a better opportunity and prove that I am living an awesome lifestyle.
The reason behind this awesome lifestyle of mine can be defined in three distinct categories, which I call 3 Rules of my life.
By implementing the 3 rules I have changed and live a better life. I decided to share those rules with you to help you see how others live their life, which may affect you and help you to change- if you are looking to change. A few of my favorite quotes listed below states the reason behind it:
“You cannot change the entire world, there are different people with different culture, but try to change one life, one thought and you will feel happy.”
“When you want to share something, and you think it may change at least one thought, then it is worth sharing.”
“A leader leads by an example.”
Rule No 1: An attitude of Gratitude
I used to be very sensitive and cry for a little-little thing. As little as for not getting a dress that I want. I know that is silly, but that was me! But ‘Thank God’ he put many beautiful fearless souls in my life, who are opposite characters of mine. Normally, I used to get pampered by my loved ones whenever I cried, but for the first time, Yes! For the first time, I got scolded by a stranger (not anymore) and asked me to stop crying for silly matters and to move on. Whenever I used to cry or be sad, she would simply walk in and say, “tell me, what good happened in your life today.” This question would always put me in thinking how churlish I was to God, I used to blame Him for every sad or bad (only according to me) thing that happened in my life rather than be grateful for the good things that He put across.
Since then, I do not sit and cry for what did not happen as I wanted, rather think of the wonderful things that have happened so far and be thankful to Him. He has a master plan and it is just a matter of time. This has taken me a long way and helped me to smile within even during the saddest days of my life. Therefore, I have applied this as my first rule of life.
Rule No 2: Positivity
Every day, we meet a lot of people with a different mindset and going through tough situations in life. Unintentionally, they pass the effect of negativity on us. Same used to happen to me. I used to carry the words like future is not secured, the job is not secured, working for hours and no overtime, no savings, worried all the time and thinking what’s going to happen tomorrow. But I noticed the more I think about it, the more I attract it. And again, because of these beautiful souls in my life, I learned to attract good things in life, and I was literally in shock when I received blessings as I wanted it to be.
I had heard about the concept of ‘Universe’, ‘Positivity’, ‘Power of words’ etc... in my daily life, but as usual, did not pay attention to them and the way they work. But now I know, when I am positive, negativity does not matter. When I affirm my dreams and hopes to the universe, it listens to it. And when I do Things right, He will bless abundantly. Hence, there is only room for positivity in my life now. I cannot change what happened in my past, can’t even decide how my tomorrow looks like, then why bother about them? Again, as someone I admire said:
“Delay will happen, but what you do and think during that delay, will decide the duration of the delay.”
Let your thoughts be free. Dreams are limitless. Do not care about how others think as you cannot control their thoughts. Simply smile at them, move on and live.
Rule No 3: Spread the Love
Love unconditionally, without expecting anything in return. Spread the love as much as you can. Bring a smile on someone’s face is my last but not the least rule. Nowadays we are so much into mobile phones. We literally, walk, talk, dance and rejoice with our mobile phones! Gone are the days when friends used to call and talk for hours, exchange words. Everything is a message now. We do not even look at the face of a person walking next to us and give a smile. The world is so busy and so are our mobiles. Maybe that is why they are charged more compared to humans these days! Greeting a stranger and wishing them a good day not only brings a smile on their face but also on mine. Feel happy when I talk to my dear ones. After a long day at the office, when I take some time aside and make a call to someone and speak, it makes my day better. Sometimes without noticing, we exchange great ideas, solutions, and happiness.
Smile and let others smile. Be happy and let others be happy. Share the Joy and spread happiness around at least with a smile on. A Smile is an ornament which anyone can always wear.
These are my rules, my lifestyle and simply define the way I live (though started recently, a year ago). Just thought of sharing it with you all. I am sure there will always be agreement and disagreement with each statement. But if my rules have some impact in your life, then feel free to share it with me.
Be Happy
